Do you believe? Who do you believe? What do you believe? What IS believing? Our culture is filled with believing – but we’re often called to believe in ourselves. Around Christmas, too, there’s a We’re heading into a season filled with a type of “believing,” a time when the believing gets lumped together with wishful thinking. Is there a magic to Christmas?
God’s Word also calls us to believe. Jesus says directly, the work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. (John 6:29). It’s our ONE work, a spiritual action. What does it mean to believe? How is believing our work? How do we distinguish biblical believing from what’s all around us?
We intend for this series to clarify what it means to believe, and also to spur us as a people who believe. We Believe! God desires us to receive, see, know, obey and trust in Jesus, whom he has sent.
