When the Spirit gives it life (John 6:63), the whole biblical story serves to magnify who God is. It not only reveals His heart toward a wayward people but also shows how He brings this same people into Himself. Magnifying God redirects us to give him his due Glory. Observing Jesus’ life, we can observe how His life magnified who God is. Similarly, when we encounter the Holy Spirit, we receive a magnified revelation of who God is and how we should live our lives.
For the rest of the summer, we will dwell together on this idea of "Magnify" in the Scriptures. May the result of this magnification be that whoever we thought God was will be amplified in such a way that our lives will be radically transformed.
