God’s At Work: Expecting our whole sanctification

God’s At Work

Summary: The Lord’s will is for our whole hearts. We receive this as a gift, not a burden, knowing that He will do it. His will? He will!

From Series: "God’s At Work"

A study in 1 Thessalonians We all need a little encouragement. Trials fill life. Sufferings accompany faith. The fallen world is not our home. And so, whether it comes through word, gift, deed – our souls hunger for the restoration and enlivening that encouragement brings. This is what God has ordained 1 Thessalonians to speak over us! In this letter, we see Paul’s loving and tender relationship to a buoyant, responsive church. They have believed the gospel despite its associated sufferings. They are marked by faith, hope and love. By this faith, the Word of God is at work in them. He writes to spur them onward and upward. May we be encouraged – God is at work. And He is faithful. May this message continue to ring in our hearts and minds; may our spirits resonate and say Amen. God is at work to do what he’s called – to bring us into his glorious kingdom. He is faithful to his promises; he is bringing them about even now.
