Compassion Moves to the Helpless
Summary: Storms reveal what’s underneath the surface of our lives. This storm further reveals Jesus. What kind of Lord do you follow?
Questions:
- What was your last life crisis and what did it stir up in your heart and mind?
- What’s your first reaction when a crisis hits? When do you admit that you are finite, limited, and – on your own – helpless?
- Jesus is a Lord who comes with authority. What are the implications of his authority? Do you trust him?
- Jesus gives what HE thinks is best; he doesn’t help us like a personal assistant might. How can He do this? What is difficult about accepting this?
- And YET – Jesus still rises up to help the helpless. Do you struggle to believe this? Why or why not? What areas are you asking him to move in?
