Exodus 3:7-9 – He Rescues Us
January 31st 2016, Geoffrey Maurer
God rescues his people completely, not halfway (think Superdome illustration). There are two “moves” of rescue – coming out of bondage (an event) and into a good and spacious land (a journey).
1. Have you been rescued from bondage and the dominion of darkness (Col 1:13)? What does the “grip of the slave master” look like in your life (the places of darkness)? Is it active bondage or simply the shadow of darkness?
2. How are we supposed to enter into the journey? How do we find the path of the journey? What is the journey’s destination? And, to apply – what does your journey look like these days? How are you facing the Son?
